INNSBRUCK - Marco Zanetti, in a great form already for some weeks, has realized a new personals best. In a match for the Austrian league, in which he was facing the old champion Franz Stenzel, the Italian player finished a 40 points game in only 8 innings, giving him a 5.000 average. Zanetti ran a 19 in his second last inning.

The top performance was part of the 5th week of the Austrian league. Marco Zanetti was playing for BLZ Innsbruck of Thomas Riml, the inventor of Mywebsport, playing billiard scientific and by distance. The encounter was played in Innsbruck on Saturday 27th of October. The scoreboard of Zanetti's match: 1-1-6-9-0-2-19-2.

Franz Stenzel, Australian world-class balkline player, champion of the 80's and presiden of the BSVOE, the Austrian Billiard Carom federation), had no score in 7 innings in a row, but then produced a run of 5.

Marco Zanetti's new top performance follows his excellent last results of the last month, when he won the bronze medal at the World Championship in Porto and then was second at the last World Cup in Suwon, won by Torbjörn Blomdahl.
 
His new personal best to 40 points is now in line with his other best games in other distances:
30 in 5 = 6.000 in best-of-3 sets game (2000);
45 in 11 = 4.090 in best of 5 sets game (2010);
50 in 9 = 5.555 in 50 points game (2004).
