78 Colombians playing for the ranking in Bogota

BOGOTA - The Colombian federation of billiards and snooker and the cundinamarca league are hosting the third national ranking tournament from tomorrow (2 November) until 5 November.  The tournament will be held in Mesa Manila, near to Bogota.

The main participants are the top ten players from  Colombia with Henry Diaz, Carlos Mario Villegas, Julian Torres, Catano Hubeney, Heriberto Aristizabal, Fernando Diaz, Robinson Morales, Andrés Naranjo, Alexander Salazar and Carlos Campino.

On the first two qualifying days 66 players from different regions will come to the tables to battle for a ticket for the main event.

The 66 qualifiers are divided in 22 groups of three. The winners of the groups together with the fourteen best runners up advance for the main tournament. They make a total of 36 and will be added to the ten best ranking players (46). Two wild cards will complete the field to come to 48 for the main event.

The playing format will be best of 2 to 15 points.
