Predator Grand Prix with European ladies top

BOTTROP - A Predator Grand Prix for European ladies will be played in the German city of Bottrop this weekend from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 June. The event is organized by the German Billiards Union (DBU) at BC Weywiesen's clubhouse and is on the calendar of the Confédération Européenne de Billard (CEB). It is the second Grand Prix of its kind after Valencia, Spain, in early May (23 players). This time, 27 participants will be divided into seven groups. Only the group winners and the best runner-up will advance to the direct knockout finals.

Therese Klompenhouwer (Netherlands) and Charlotte Sörensen (Denmark) lead the first two groups of four players, other players with an honor list are Danielle Le Bruyn, Gülsen Degener, Magali Declunder, Monique van Exter, Jaimie Buelens, Karina Jetten and Güzin Mujde Karakasli.

The matches will be broadcast on Kozoom from 9.30am on Friday morning, with sessions at 2-hour intervals on four tables. The quarter-finals begin on Sunday morning at 9.30am, the semi-finals at 12.30pm and the final around 4pm.

The group stages will be played to 25 points or 50 innings, the final stages to 30 points with no limit and no equalising turn. The winner will receive €1,500, the runner-up €750, the semi-finalists €500 and the quarter-finalists €250.
