Johann Schirmbrand had a rocket start in his match against Ronny Lindemann

HERTEN - The two German players, who played together at the World championships for national teams in Viersen, face each other tomorrow (Sunday) in the semi-finals of the German Masters. Johann Schirmbrand, one of the main guns today, plays the other semi-final against Klaus Bosel.

Martin Horn is still the big favorite for the title after his victory over the young, gifted player Dustin Jäschke, who was out of chance after Horn's 21 points in six innings and a comfortable finish.

22 -year-old Jäschke says goodbye to the tournament with the best match so far (2.353 average).
Stefan Galla, already in a superb form for many months and like Martin Horn unbeaten so far, outplayed one of the other contenders, Christian Rudolph 50-37 in 34 innings.

Johann Schirmbrand started off like a comet in his match against Dieter Grossjung. The Berliner broke off with fifteen, had a little hick-up and finished 50-18 in 26.

Much more exciting was the match between Ronny Lindemann and Klaus Bosel. The Saarland player Bosel couldn't match with his opponent until 35-26, but then recovered with runs of eleven and seven, took a 45-35 lead and closed at 50-36 in 28 innings.

The semi-finals for Sunday, 11.00 pm:

Martin Horn-Stefan Galla
Johann Schirmbrand-Klaus Bosel
