SEOUL - The second round at the team league in the PBA is dominated by the Direct team (Rent-a-car) whose successful leader is Eddy Leppens and Dong Koong Kang, Dinh Nai Ngo and Orie Hida are other well-known players. The league leaders won their sixth match until this week and are topping the ranking with 15 match points. Earlier, the Direct team also won the first round of the league played with nine teams. The Winners team (Burak Hashas, Lütfi Cenet, Mi-rae Lee) is number 2 ahead of Phoenix with Kasidokostas, Seo, but playing without Sayginer.
The PBA team league shows spirited matches between top European and Asian players in almost every round. Eddy Leppens is one of the standouts, both individually and in doubles. In recent rounds, the only Belgian in the PBA, where no Dutch players play either, won with Ngo in the doubles against Burak Hashas and Cenet 11-9 and was the better of David Martinez 11-4, among others, but lost to Jae ho Cho 11-3. Also with Dinh Nai Ngo, Leppens won in the doubles against Zapata and Eom by 11-8 and against Sánchez/Mori by 11-4. Other notable matches for the Direct team were Dong Koong Kang's win against Juan David Zapata 15-13 and the same Kang's win against Robinson Morales 15-0
The Winners team (ranked 2nd) managed to inflict Direct's first loss this Monday. The score was 4-2 in the score despite Leppens/Ngo's win against Hashas/Cenet 11-9. Ding Nai Ngo lost his individual match against Sun Kyun Im and Leppens was beaten by Cenet 11-5. Mi-rae Lee and Hyun ji Yong were also too strong in the women's doubles against Ji-eun Kang and Orie Hida (9-4).
