ELVERSBERG/NIED - The German teams led by Martin Horn and Torbjörn Blomdahl, BC International and BC Weywiesen, are in a thrilling fight for the German team title in the bundesliga. The two leaders have gathered 22 points in 10 rounds of play and still have four matches to go. The final match, the top billings between BC International and BC Weywiesen, is on Sunday 30 April.
This weekend, the penultimate schedule is on the calendar. BC International plays an away match against BC Nied on Saturday, BC Weywiesen an away match against BC Elversberg. On Sunday, BC Weywiesen plays away against BC St. Wendel and BC International travels to BC Elfenbein Höntrop.
Martin Horn is the leading player for BC International, which usually has a regular line-up with Nikos Polychronopoulos, Cengiz Karaca and Norbert Roestel. Greek Polychronopoulos does not play this weekend. Jean van Erp is Polychronopoulos' replacement in this double weekend. Martin Horn will play all matches for the title contender.
BC Weywiesen will play with Torbjörn Blomdahl, Roland Forthomme (replaced by Jens Eggers on Sunday), Thorsten Frings and Christian Rudolph.
