SEOUL - The rise of Vietnamese billiard players is not only evident in the World Cups from UMB. In the PBA, the Korean pro league, Vietnamese are also playing a starring role. Dinh Nai Ngo signed for eliminating Dani Sánchez 3-1 in the Huon Championship this week and Phuong Linh Nguyen played Murat Naci Coklu out of the tournament. David Martinez, the successful Spaniard, is taking another shot at a title. In the round with the best 32, the Spaniard beat Filippos Kasidokostas by the maximum score 3-0. The averages: Martinez 2,250, Kasidokostas 1,167.

The tournament goes to the top eight in the men's tournament this weekend. In the women's tournament, the semi-finals are about to start. In them, Ga-young Kim will play against Sruong Pheavy and Ji-yeun Oh against Bal-hae Kwon.
