Two German records in bundesliga: Horn and Elversberg

Martin Horn improved the record match average: 50 in 11

ST WENDEL - Two German records were set in the double weekend for the German team competition. BV Elversberg improved the team record scored in one match, taking it to 2.093 with a win among others by Peter Ceulemans against Martin Horn: 50-27 in 19 innings. Martin Horn himself improved the German record match average one day later. The German champion beat Jérôme Barbeillon 50-12 in 11 innings: 4.545 on average for Horn.

The game opened for Horn by 1-1-7, two innings later he made 13 for a 25-6 score, another run of 6 followed and finally in the 11th inning a 12 as the final run. Barbeillon stood 50-7 and made 5 more in the equalizer.

The old German record match-average was also held by Martin Horn with 50 in 12 at the World Championships in Sharm El Sheikh, 2021 in the quarterfinals against Tayfun Tasdemir.

Elversberg played the new record 2,093 with Peter Ceulemans, Pierre Soumagne, Thorsten Frings and Klaus-Bernhard Bosel. Elversberg won that match against BC International 8-0.

BC Elversberg, the leader in the rankings, won its two matches this weekend 8-0, on Saturday against BC International, on Sunday against BC Munich with Pierre Soumagne leading and Karaca, Stamm and Roestel.

BC International won 1-7 at St Wendel on Sunday, which won 6-2 against Munich on Saturday with Dick Jaspers and fell short against International on Sunday without Jaspers.

BC Weywiesen won against BC Nied 5-3 on Saturday and with the same score against BSV Velbert on Sunday. BC Nied played a draw against BC Elfenbein on Sunday.

BC Elversberg is leading at half-competition with 17 out of 9 (1,441), Weywiesen is second with 14 out of 9, BC Nied third with 12 out of 9 and BC International fourth with 11 out of 9.
