Top Asians play for titles in Korea (live AfreecaTV)

Myung Woo Cho defends his title of Asian champion

GANGWON DO – The best Asian billiard players will show up for the Asian titles in the North Korean province of Gangwon do until Sunday. The men play with 32 Koreans, Vietnamese and Japanese for the most important title in three-cushion in Asia. So will the ladies and under-22 players. Also being played for the Asian title in one cushion. Myung Woo Cho defends his title, which he won last year with an average over 2,500.

The finals can be seen on 1 TV table on Sunday, March 31, on AfreecaTV.

The best Asian players have qualified and are divided into eight groups of four players with 32 per discipline.

The best-known Vietnamese are Phuong Vinh Bao and Quyet Chien Tran, who both won the World championship for nation teams in the final against Spain in Viersen last Sunday. Myung Woo Cho, not in his best form in Viersen, is defending the title of Asian champion, which scores 80 points in the rankings. Vietnamese Thanh Luc Tran was last year's runner-up.

The best-known Koreans among the men are Myung-Woo Cho, Haeng Jik Kim, Juntae Kim, Jung Han Heo and Myeongjong Cha.

For Vietnam, they include Quyet Chien Tran, Phuong Vinh Bao, Van Ly Dao, Thanh Luc Tran and good old Vinh The Ly.

For Japan: Ryuuji Umeda, Takao Miyashita, Takeshima O, Tatsuo Arai and Shota Funaki.

The men's final, on AfreecaTV, is Sunday 31 March at 7pm Korean time.

The best-known women playing for the championship are:

Yuko Nishimoto, Noriko Fukao, Bo-mi Choi, Haeun Kim.

In the under 22, 16 players will be played.
