GWANGMYEONG - HanaPay's team with Murat Naci Coklu, Nguyen Quoc Nguyen and Ga-young Kim is the winner of the 4th round at PBA’s team league. The victory in HanaPay's last encounter witht Builders (Sánchez) 4-2 put the winning team out of reach of chasers Woori Won Weebies (Zapata/Pheavy) and Winners (Hashas/Cenet). HanaPay won the decisive match thanks in part to Nguyen Quoc Nguyen, Jung-ju Shin, Ga-young Kim and Jin-ah Kim, who provided a lead against Builders. Dani Sánchez then won the individual match against Jung-ju Shin 15-8, but thanks to Murat Naci Coklu and Ayako Sakai with 9-8 win in the mixed doubles and Ga-young Kim in the final match against Ji-eun Han (9-6), the victory in this fourth round went to HanaPay.
The win in this fourth round entitles HanaPay to participate in the final tournament. The first three rounds in the competition with 9 teams ended in wins for Direct (Leppens/Kang/Hida), Phoenix (Kasidokostas/Sayginer) and Green Force (Jae-ho Cho/Ma/Montes). The team league goes over a total of six rounds, with two more to be played in February. On the 1st of December the next individual event is starting.
Woorie Won Weebies' team could still draw with HanaPay in the last match, but squandered that chance by losing against Direct. The two teams with leading roles for Eddy Leppens, Dinh Nai Ngo and Ji-eun Kang at Direct and Sang-pil Eom and Can Capak at Woori Wiebies were evenly matched. Things were even until the last game, in which Eddy Leppens and Min-gu Kang faced each other. The Belgian showed superiority in that match, winning 11-2.
With that victory, the Direct team (SK Rent-a -car) remains in the lead of the overall ranking with 57 match points out of 4 rounds ahead of HanaPay with 56.
The final of the fourth round showed wins by Laon against Legend (4-1), Winners against Direct (4-1), Green Force against HanaPay (4-9) and Woori Won Weebies against Laon (4-2), among others.
HanaPay started the 4th cycle with an important 4-3 win over Phoenix thanks, among others, to wins by Nguyen Quoc Nguyen over Kasidokostas 15-8 and Byeong Ho Kim against Sayginer 11-6 and with an excellent win by Ye-eun Kim over Ga-young Kim 11-6.
