Martin Spoormans shone for his team with a win against Forthomme.

GRAVELINES - The team of Gravelines keeps its chances to qualify for the play-offs thanks to a 5-3 victory against Kozoom yesterday night. Martin Spoormans and his teammates depend to the last match in the league in Andernos between Kozoom and Albert.

There's one match to go (Kozoom-Albert). Gravelines has gathered three points and 12 match points, Kozoom has one point and ten match points and Albert one point and four match points.

Kozoom is qualified for the playoffs with a win in its last home match against Albert. The team from Andernos missed a great opportunity last night (Thursday), because they lost against Gravelines. Peter de Backer made a good start: he defeated Ronny Daniels 50-16 in 20 innings. Gravelines took two other matches and one draw. The most notable was the win of Martin Spoormans against Roland Forthomme 50-33 in 23 innings.

Gilles Stopin (beat Marc Boingnères, 50-47 in 67) and Frédéric Roelants (against Frédéric Mottet, 50-50 in 47) brought the final score to 5-3 for Gravelines.

The chance that Albert can advance is minimal: the team needs an 8-0 win in the away match against Kozoom. Gravelines should hope for a tie between Kozoom and Albert or a win less than 8-0 from Albert. Kozoom certainly is seeded with a win.
