SCHILTIGHEIM - On the eve before the Agipi Masters, Dick Jaspers and Filipos Kasidokostas demonstrated a great form with runs of eighteen in a league match with Andernos against Laxoux. The Dutchman defeated Torbjörn Blomdahl and closed a 36-32 backlog with a final run of eighteen.

Filipos Kasidokostas made the gap in his match against Martin Horn in the fourteenth inning and was not threatened for the win after his eighteen. He won 50-25 in 17 innings. Dick Jaspers needed only thirteen innings for his match (3.846 average), his opponent came to 43 points with a run of six in the equalizer and finished with an impressive 3.308 as a loser.

Jaspers saw his win and his final run especially as a nice warmup for his performance in the second qualifying round of the Agipi Masters tomorrow (Friday), Saturday and Sunday. ,,But it's also important for the team,'' he said. ,,I am the number one player in the team of Andernos for the first year and I want to perform good.''

Andernos won the match against Laxou 8-0. Jérôme Barbeillon defeated Pierre Soumagne 50-36 in 42 innings, Francis Connesson beat Eric Cremer 50-22 in 36.

Andernos has been advanced already for the play-offs with eight points after five games. The Agipi team is on eight points after four matches, Clichy Montmartre has eight from five.

The fourth participant in the playoffs is not yet known: Laxoy has the best chances, collected 5 points in 5 matches and still requires one point.

The weekend of the French play-offs for teams is, as it looks now, at 11, 12 and 13 May, in the same weekend as the Dutch Cup final. That means for at least four players that they will have to make a choice.

Frédéric Caudron (Agipi and Frans Bevers), Eddy Merckx (Clichy Montmartre and TOVV), Eddy Leppens (Clichy and Frans Bevers) and Richard Bitalis (Clichy and TOVV) have to choose between the weekend in the Netherlands or in France.

Jonathan Montel, sportsdirector in France, said tonight after the match in Agipi: ,,We will certainly not differ from the date.''

Santos Chocron, chairman of the Section three cushions in the Netherlands: ,,We have tried to change the schedule and find another weekend, but it's impossible for the teams and the organizers.''
