SEOUL – The final match in the first PBA tournament of this new season goes between Dani Sánchez and Murat Naci Coklu. The Spaniard and the Turk will be in the arena at 9 p.m. Korean time (14.00 in Western Europe). Korean star Ga-young Kim won her eighth consecutive tournament and cemented her status as the undisputed champion of the LPBA circuit.
Dani Sánchez reached the final with a 4-0 victory over Korean Seung-jin Lee averaging 1,500. Murat Naci Coklu defeated Spaniard Juan David Zapata also by a maximum score: 4-0, averages 1.875/1.125.
Ga-young Kim is unbeatable in the LPBA competition and also struck mercilessly in the final matches for her eighth consecutive tournament victory. The Korean defeated You-ram Cha in the final, who, like Ga-young Kim ten years ago, was still a pool player. Ga-young was superior in the final, in which Cha could hardly score: 4-0, with set scores of 11-1, 11-6, 11-2 and 11-6, averages 2.200 and 0.250.
Yu-ram Cha won the semi-final against former UMB world champion Shin-young Lee 3-0 (11-2, 11-2 and 11-9). Ga-young Kim was the better player in the semi-final against Hye-mi Cho, winning 3-0 with an average of 2.750.
