AARHUS - The European juniors under 25 are playing for the title in three-cushion from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 March. The Danish city of Aarhus is the venue to open a European triptych with the junior championship. The European championship for national women's teams will follow on Tuesday, followed by the women's individual European championship on 3 to 5 April.
The junior championship has been dominated in recent years by two players who have now left for the PBA: Spaniard Yvan Mayor and two-time consecutive Turk Burak Hashas. The successors for a new power grab are among Turks Denizcan Akkoca and Seymen Ozbas, Spaniard Marcos Morales, Italian Alessio D'Agata, Frenchmen Maxime Panaia and Nathan Duriez, Dutchman Joris van ‘t Zelfden, German Amir Ibraimov and Greek Dimitrios Seleventas. For Alessio D'Agata and Maxime Panaia, this event is the last time they play in the under-25. Panaia was twice European three cushion Under-17 champion and once Under-21 in 2019 in Brandenburg.
The qualifiers, start Friday 28 March 9.30: with Van ‘t Zelfden-Kristiansen, Tsokantas-Jensen, Bollansee-Ibraimov, Falangas-Philipoom.
Quarter-finals Saturday 29 March, semi-finals Sunday at 10.30 and 13.00, final at 17.00.
