HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam
Liu Shasha and Hsieh Chia-Chen are the 2026 BOX BILLIARDS Mixed Doubles Open champions after completing an impressive run in Ho Chi Minh City with victory over Aloysius Yapp and Silviana Lu in Wednesday night’s final.
In front of the crowd at Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium, Liu and Hsieh delivered when it mattered most, overcoming one of the strongest pairings in the field to seal the title and take home the $38,000 first prize.
Their victory capped five days of mixed doubles action featuring 48 international teams, with some of the biggest names in men’s and women’s pool battling for a share of the $110,000 prize fund.
For the first time, the event was expanded from 32 to 48 teams after all 32 original spots were snapped up in just 30 minutes, underlining the growing demand and excitement around the Mixed Doubles format.
Held from September 19–23, the tournament marked another major chapter in the Predator Pro Billiard Series’ return to Vietnam, bringing together elite players from around the world in Ho Chi Minh City.
Liu and Hsieh become the first champions crowned during a packed week of world-class pool, with the Iwan Simonis WPA Men’s 10-Ball World Championship and Poison Saigon Women’s 9-Ball Open still to be decided as the action continues through September 26.
