The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) is pleased to announce the election of former BEF junior champion and Women's Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) touring professional Kennedy Meyman to its Board of Trustees, along with the reelection of Roy Pastor to an additional three-year term.
A former standout in the BEF's junior competitive programs, Meyman brings a unique perspective to the foundation, having progressed from a decorated student-athlete to an accomplished professional competitor and industry entrepreneur. Her appointment represents a meaningful fullcircle moment for the organization, as one of its former junior champions returns to help guide and inspire the next generation of aspiring cue sports athletes.
"We are incredibly grateful to all those who expressed an interest in serving on the BEF Board of Trustees," said BEF president Philippe Singer. "The overwhelming response, particularly from distinguished individuals throughout the international billiards community, speaks volumes about the passion and commitment that exists for developing the next generation. We were fortunate to have an exceptional group of candidates willing to contribute their experience, knowledge, and leadership to further our mission. While the selection process was certainly challenging, we are delighted to welcome Kennedy Meyman to the board and congratulate Roy Pastor on his reelection. We look forward to building on the foundation's successes and expanding the educational and competitive opportunities available to young athletes across the country."

For Meyman, the appointment is both a professional milestone and an opportunity to give back to an organization that played an important role in her development.
"The Billiard Education Foundation was a major steppingstone of my career and it's a full circle moment for me," said Meyman. "Not only is it competition for juniors to push themselves to new levels, but it is also about community and experience, as well as the importance of education in the process of becoming who they are."
In addition to welcoming Meyman, the BEF is pleased to announce the reelection of Roy Pastor to another three-year term on the Board of Trustees. Pastor's continued service reflects his ongoing commitment to the foundation and its mission.
Meyman and Pastor join continuing trustees Ivan Lee, Ed Liddawi, Mike Howerton, Steve Sherman, and Philippe Singer. Together, the Board of Trustees provides strategic leadership and oversight in support of the foundation's fundraising initiatives, junior competitive programs, and long-term organizational development.
