UDEN - The climax in the Dutch premier three-cushion division, the DKM Tools league, is approaching. The 19th round is scheduled for Sunday, including a match to look forward to: SIS Schoonmaak in a home match against Dallinga. ''We absolutely must not underestimate this opponent,'' says Jan van de Vorle, the SIS Schoonmaak team captain, who for this match calls on his players to show an all hands on deck mentality.
SIS Schoonmaak doesn’t need to worry about its position for the playoffs, but is not comfortable with the team's current form. Jan van de Vorle reckons: ’’We have drawn three times and lost once in the last four games.'' That series is underwhelming for SIS Schoonmaak. The home match against Dallinga, the team that won over Bousema last week with a team average of 1.802 and saw Jean Paul de Bruijn win by generous scores against Martin Horn, is therefore in the spotlight. In the run-up to the last league matches, Jan van de Vorle also calls attention to the SIS 3CC Survival tournament, the second edition to be played from 19-24 June with attractive cash prizes. Entries are not yet taking a storm. ’’We have decided to extend the deadline by three days. It is now possible to register until Wednesday 3 May. Three days later, the draw will be at the SIS centre.''
The number two in the league table, Dekker Keukens, theoretically has an easy afternoon in the away match against already relegated Post Luchtkanalen. At least five teams are in a battle for the sub-top positions. Cues&Darts plays the home match against Burgmans Biljarts, Dallinga thus travels to SIS Schoonmaak, Team Eekhoorn plays the away match against Bousema Lochem and Woonwonder meets the team of J&F Auto's. Matches with top foreign players to look forward: Loncelle-Uymaz, Salman-Peter Ceulemans and Legazpi-Leppens.
