Glenn Hofman and David Martinez beat Belgians

ATHENS - The two Belgian players in the European championship didn't survive the quarter finals. They were beaten without having any chance tonight on the way to the semi finals. David Martinez, the defending champion, defeated Andy de Bondt 3-0, Glenn Hofmann defeated Kenny Miatton with the same score.

The final day of the tournament starts with a German, a Spaniard, a Dutchman and a Turkish player tomorrow. Hofman and Martinez impressed  with a big score and good average. Dustin Jäschke showed his fighting spirit against Joao Ferreira, whom he beat in the fifth set 15-13, even the average of the Portugese was better than his opponent (1.033 against 0.915 for Jäschke).

Ölmer Kurakurt needed five sets to beat the Spanish youth champion David Zapatta. The young Turk finished in the final set 15-10.

Glenn Hofmann will play in the semifinal against Ölmer Kurakurt tomorrow, Dustin Jäschke against David Martinez.
