ROSMALEN - The DKM Tools league and the lower classes are heading into the weeks when decisions will be made on play-offs, promotion or relegation. The premier league, led all year by SIS Schoonmaak, still has many contenders for the places in the battle for the title. The DKM league lost A1 Biljarts' team early in the competition and also says goodbye to Post Luchtkanalen, De Hazelaar's team with Rinus Persons as team captain. Tomorrow, Sunday, the 18th round is played and Post Luchtkanalen can already not overtake the next team on the league table.
SIS Schoonmaak leads the standings with 26 points out of 16 matches and can only be overtaken by Dekker Keukens and Cues&Darts. As a result, SIS is now sure of a place in the play-offs. In the 18th round, the team plays an away match against Burgmans Biljarts (including Leppens-Merckx as top billing), which will have to put up a hard fight with J&F Auto's to stay above the limit of the 10th position. Many top foreign players will be in action on Sunday for the 18th round of play in the Dutch premier league, including: Martin Horn, Ruben Legazpi, Robinson Morales, Eddy Leppens, Peter Ceulemans, Roland Forthomme, Birol Uymaz, Peter De Backer, Johan Loncelle and Ismaïl Yasin.
Dekker Keukens, the number 3, plays against Woonwonder on Sunday, the number 5, Cues&Darts faces the away match against Team Eekhoorn. Dallinga and Bousema want to keep the connection with the top.
J&F Auto's, the team that lost Jeffrey Jorissen and Glenn Hofman, must fight in the coming rounds to leave the tenth place and thus avoid promotion/degradation matches. The Hague team could also announce some good news this week: Kay de Zwart (ex-A1) will join J&F Auto's from next season.
The DKM Tools league team can become first division champions this Saturday and promote to the top division. The frontrunners line-up is Roland Uijtdewillegen, Davy van Havere, Jack Wijnen, and Eddy Willems. De Eekhoorn is gearing up for a nice championship afternoon against De Distel's team. In the other division, Aartsbouw is three plan points off with four games left to play.
