DUDELANGE - The town of Dudelange in Luxembourg is hosting the European championship free game for players under 17. The eight participants from five different countries meet in a round robin. The kick-off is today (Friday 27th of May), the last matches on Sunday. The match length is 200 caroms with a limit of 20 innings.
The Belgians are most strongly represented with three players: Kevin van Hees, Bryan Eelen and Nino Coeckelberghs. The Dutch federation sends two brothers, Nick and Leon Dudink. Simon Blondeel, one of the two billiard sons of Fabian Blondeel is already well known on the international stage. Further participants are Yohann Alderbonn from France and Maxime Schreiner from Luxembourg.
The championship will be played at the Centre Hild in Dudelange. Dietmar Schintgen is responsible on behalf of the CEB, the European Billards Federation. Johny Beck and Carlo Pallucca are the tournament directors.
The tournament starts today and lasts until Sunday.
The program:
Friday: 6 sessions from 11:00
Saturday: six rounds from 11:00
Sunday: final rounds at 12.00 and 13.30.
