PORTO - On the eve before the World Cup start in Porto, the FC Porto home team has won the cup for teams. The team with its main players Rui Costa and Jorge Alipio defeated FC Leca in the final: after the victories of Rui Costa and Joao Ferreira, the match was stopped.
The cup win was the revenge for FC Porto after the lost championship last week against Sporting Lisbon with its star players Frédéric Caudron and Frans van Kuyk. The competition was played with Portuguese players. FC Porto performed with Rui Costa, Joao Ferreira, Santos Oliveira and Alipio Jorge in the final. The home team beat Ginasio do Sol in the semi-finals with victories of Rui Costa and Santos Oliveira.
The cup final in the FC Porto arena is followed by the World Cup start today (Sunday), on eight billiards broadcast live by the Kozoom cameras in the first preliminary rounds.
