HURGHADA - For twelve players the flag will be hoisted in the Sunrise Garden Beach hotel tonight. The other 24 players, who don't win their group, can pack their suitcase after the last qualifying round and go home or enjoy their holiday on the beach or in the swimming pool.
The matches Lütfi Cenet-Adnan Yüksel, Jean Paul de Bruijn-In-Won Kang, Anh Vu Duong-Amr Saad, Raimond Burgman-Peter de Backer, Jean van Erp-Radek Novak and Peter Ceulemans-Savat Bulut have opened the last preliminaries this morning. The verdict will fall tonight, in the deciding matches, before in the draw for the main event being recorded.
The triple junior world champion, the Korean Haeng Jik Kim, the Dutch Frans van Kuyk and Dave Christiani and the Greek Kostas Papakonstaninou were already eliminated yesterday night. Therese Klompenhouwer advanced to the next round. The Dutch and European champion beat the 13-year-old Korean Myung Woo Cho 2-0.
Ly The Vinh was the leader of the ranking after the third qualification day. The Vietnamese averaged 1.304, before Young Chull Kim with 1.132, Claus Foge 1.132, Can Capak 1.016 and Pierre Soumagne 0.882. Therese Klompenhouwer was twelve, because she lost her first match against Koray Kirman 2-0. She averaged 1.020.
