SAINT-BREVIN-LES-PINS - Ten innings for Frédéric Caudron against Torbjörn Blomdahl (150-83) and even two less for Jean Paul de Bruijn against Xavier Gretillat (150-74 8) have made the first decisions in the final round of the World championship one cushion in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins. The two main contenders are already in the semifinals of the global tournament.

The reigning champion Wolfgang Zenkner and Frenchman Johann Petit find themselves on the last positions in the groups after two sessions.
Four other players compete for the other places in the semifinals. Torbjörn Blomdahl and Peter De Backer are still in the race in the group with Caudron, Xavier Gretillat end Bernard Villiers in the group with De Bruijn.
The Stade de l'Etoile get ready for four other matches on Saturday evening to watch the showdown. Jean Paul de Bruijn plays in one group against Bernard Villiers, Xavier Gretillat against Wolfgang Zenkner.
In the other group Caudron wants to continue his undefeated status against his compatriot De Backer, Blomdahl faces Petit.
The second session on Saturday was not the round of the spectacular runs. De Bruijn found his rhythm again after his opener against Zenkner and left Gretillat far behind including a run of 53 (150-74 in 8). Caudron defeated Blomdahl with a big margin.
Peter De Backer kept his chances for the placement by defeating Johann Petit (150-124 in 24) and Bernard Villiers gathered his first match points in the group against Zenkner 150-92 in 22.
