SHARM EL SHEIKH – The World Cup in Sharm El Sheikh, the last of 2025, is dominated by Turkish players in the opening days. Young Turk Seymen Ozbas was the best on the second day, sharing the top three spots with Korean Beom Yeol Lee (4 match points, 1,621) and Vietnamese Quoc Thuan Pham (4 match points, 1,578). German brothers Amir and Ali Ibraimov reached the next round with the maximum match points. Italian Francesco Orlando slipped as the best runner-up into day three on the Red Sea with 16 group winners.
No fewer than twelve Turks will be at the tables for the third day of play. Beom Yeol Lee, the leader on Monday, was drawn in a group with German Lucas Stamm and Japanese Atshushi Kiyota. Young talents who didn't make it through this phase were Alessio D'Agata, Lucas Mortensen and Tobias Bouerdick.
