LOCHEM/DEN HAAG - The first transfers in the premier three-cushion league were announced this week. With six rounds of play still to go and plenty of tension for the top positions, Jeffrey Jorissen announced his departure to Bousema and Carl Verhoeven assured that his SIS Schoonmaak team will play in the same line-up next season. Earlier, Roland Forthomme announced his departure from STZ Zundert and Glenn Hofman reported that he will play for Cues&Darts next season. These were the most obvious changes. Among others, the 17th round in Holland, this Sunday, is a final test for Therese Klompenhouwer on her way to the European Championships in Antalya, where she will defend her title individually and also play for the Netherlands in the national team.
The current season in Holland ends with a double weekend on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May. These days there are still interesting encounters scheduled that could count towards the play-offs, including on Saturday Woonwonder-Zundert, SIS Schoonmaak-Cues&Darts and Dallinga-Team Eekhoorn and on Sunday, the final day, Cues&Darts-Dallinga, STZ Zundert-Dekker and Bousema-SIS Schoonmaak.
Tomorrow, Sunday, for the 17th round, the SIS Schoonmaak team is off and preparations can be made within the SIS Experience organization for the SIS 3CC Survival, which is set for this summer. The leader of the premier league doesn’t have to worry about its position: SIS leads with 26 points ahead of Dekker and Cues&Darts with 20, Topbiljart Zundert and Woonwonder with 18. Cues&Darts will face the home match against Zundert with a strong line-up (Ruben Legazpi and Robinson Morales as front men). An interesting encounter is that between Bousema and J&F Auto's, where Jeffrey Jorissen plays against his future team. The Hague-based frontman will face Martin Horn.
Also on the bill in Sluiskil at Dallinga-Dekker Keukens is the Dutch topmatch between Jean Paul de Bruijn and Dave Christiani. At De Eekhoorn, many Lier acquaintances face each other in the match between Team Eekhoorn and Post Luchtkanalen. Jose Maria Mas comes over from Spain for an appearance with Team Eekhoorn.
Many premier league players are already looking forward to leaving this week for the European All-Discipline Championships in Antalya. Therese Klompenhouwer will play there individually and for her country in the ladies.
