Top players stay in Seoul for Kimchi tournament

SEOUL - For a number of Europeans and top players from Korea, the World Cup of Guri, won by Korean star player Dong Koong Kang, will be followed by another event. Tomorrow (Monday) and Tuesday the Kimchi billiard room of the famous billiards sponsor, is the place for another event.

Most of the players take a flight home after the World Cup, in preparation for the national leagues and the Peloponnesos World Cup in Greece. Dani Sánchez, finalist in the Guri World Cup, Frédéric Caudron, Marco Zanetti, Eddy Merckx, Kyung Roul Kim, Therese Klompenhouwer and fourteen other players will stay in Seoul for some days.

With twenty players, divided into four groups of five, the Kimchi tournament is played on Monday and Tuesday. Two best players of the four groups advance to the quarterfinals.
