Therese Klompenhouwer won her matches against young Danish Nanna Petersen (25-20 in 24) of whom the Dutch player says she has a bright future coming up. And against Austria's Helga Mitterböck 25-10 in 26 innings. Tomorrow, Tuesday, in the round with the best sixteen, Therese will start the knock-outs against her compatriot Daisy Werdekker. Jaimie Buelens started against Turkey's Ayca Oren with a generous win (25-7 in 41) and in her second match eliminated Dutch Mirjam Pruim 25-21 in 31. The other Belgian, well known Danielle Le Bruyn, won against Daisy Werdekker 21-19 in 50 and against Estela Cardosa 25-9 in 24.
Daisy Werdekker was able to qualify as number two thanks to her draw against Cardosa. The Dutch woman equalized from the start and missed the second carom for a win, but was still able to qualify on average.
