HO CHI MINH CITY - The arrival of the first-known Turkish player (Murat Celik) and two women who just played the World championship (Degener and Hayashi) didn't affect the top positions on the second day of the World Cup in Ho Chi Minh City. As on the first day (South Korea-Vietnam 8-8), it were the Asians who set the tone. The Koreans were just a little better now on the final ranking of the day. They were with four in the top five on this second day of qualifications.
Chang Hoon Seo was the best with 1.714 ahead of Wan Young Choi with 1.621, Quoc Vinh Tran (1.578), Sung Ha Yoon and Kun Hyoung Park with 1.428. The first non-Asian was Murat Celic, with two points and 1.190 far away to reach the next day. Namiko Hayashi and Gülsen Degener finished in the back ground with two losses, 0.810 for the Japanese, 0.500 for the Turkish number three of the last Ladies World championship.
The sixteen team winners closed the day all with four match points, fifteen of the sixteen runners-up with two match points. The best match of the day came from Young Choi Wan with 30 in 12 innings. Two players scored 2.000: Yoon Sung Ha and Hyun Suk Kim.
