BARENDRECHT - The playoffs in the Dutch three cushion league will start with the four teams on top of the competition after the regular season. MCR/De Uitspanning meets STZ Zundert in the semi-finals, Buffalo.nl plays against A1 Biljarts. The dispute between Sander Jonen from De Uitspanning and the sponsor MCR has reached a settlement. The team will finish the current season.
Sander Jonen is pleased with the outcome: ,,We had a good talk after all the struggles that have been and both are happy that we can go on with the team. That we couldn’t show up in the last league match is very unfortunate. We are sorry fort hat, but now we can finish the competition and participate in the playoffs. Then, I'll see if I can find a new sponsor and form a new team for next season.’’
The regular players of the team have also been agreed. Eddy Leppens: ,,I've always told Sander: if you are on speaking terms again with Peter Loenen, the sponsor, then we will be available for the playoffs. My only reason not to play was that we were threatened with a procedure. I did not want that and so was Thorsten Frings. But now everything is resolved we’re going to play.’’
Dave Christiani and Thorsten Frings have the same feeling are very motivated to play the playoffs.
The semi-final between A1 Biljarts and Buffalo.nl will be played in Apeldoorn in A1’s billiard room on Sunday, April 24th, the return in Biljartcafe Jorissen on Tuesday, April 26. The matches between MCR/De Uitspanning and Zundert are almost certainly on April 25 in Zundert and on April 28 in Barendrecht.
