CAIRO/VALENCIA - The World Cups in three cushion and the world championships for juniors and ladies in this discipline will be played according to new rules in 2019. The UMB officially announced that today. The most important changes are the list of seeded players and the schedule after the preliminaries in the World Cups. For the World championships for juniors and ladies, 24 players are invited instead of 16, to start with eight flights of three players.
The World Cups will be played according to the new system starting the first tournament in Antalya. After the pre-rounds, the list of 32 players is composed as below:
X 14 players from the top of the ranking
X numbers 1 and 2 from the qualification
X 1 wildcard from UMB
X 2 wildcards from organization
X numbers 3 to 15 from the qualifications (10 group winners and 3 best numbers 2).
With these 32 players, eight groups of four are formed, of whom the best two pass to the knock-outs with 16.
The World championships for juniors and ladies will be played in Valencia in 2019. The ladies play their tournament from 30 September to 2 October, the juniors from 3 to 5 October. Both tournaments are played with 24 participants: eight groups of three of whom the best two pass to the knock-outs with 16.

Antalya, Ho Chi Minh, Blankenberge, Porto, Veghel, Korea, Hurghada.
