Mario He (AUT) is the winner of the Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open 2019. In the final match, he downed Denis Grabe (EST) with 9:2.

Last nigh in the single elimination round of the last 32 players, Mario He ousted the #1 ranked player Eklent Kaci (ALB) with 9:4. Today started out with a lot of congratulations for Mario He. The Austrian celebrates his 26th birthday today. And the day continued pretty well for him. In his first match in the round of the last 16 players, he took down Konrad Juszczyszyn (POL) with 9:6. In his next match in the quarterfinal, Mario He overpowered Oliver Szolnoki (HUN) also 9:6. In the semi-final, Mario He defeated „The Killer“ Joshua Filler (GER) by a whisker in a heartbreaker with 9:8. That took him into the final match against Denis Grabe, who had just ousted Marc Bijsterbosch (NED) in his semi-final match with 9:7. The final was pretty much determined by Mario He since he had the way better break shot. Throughout the whole tournament, Mario He was breaking very consistently and never showed any weakness. In the final match he capitalised from that. While Grabe committed a few mistakes while pocketing the balls, He did not let any chance pass by and consequently gained a big lead over Grabe. In the final racks of the match when Grabe was already trailing big time like 7:2 or even 8:2, the frustration of the Estonian could be witnessed. Mario He stayed as focussed as he possible and won rack after rack to come to a convincing 9:2 victory over Grabe. „I am super happy“, Mario He stated after the match, „especially after my real last year it is a wonderful feeling to be back on Europe’s top“. „To me, winning a Euro-Tour event is one of the hardest things to do nowadays in the World of Pool Billiards so I am extremely happy with my performance,“ Mario He added.
