SAINT QUENTIN - The billiard room at Saint Quentin was the stage for a glittering league match of the Laxou team this week. German Martin Horn and French player Adrien Tachoire achieved in the away game against Saint Quentin for their team 40 points matches with 3,636 and 2,545 on average. Laxou set a new team record in the French league: 2,113 (over 40 points). The Laxou team is leading group B with six points after the shared score (4-4) against Saint Quentin.
Martin Horn showed a stunning level in his match against Belgian Johan Loncelle. The two players finished at 40-28 in 11 innings, with Horn scoring a high run of 20. Undoubtedly this was the best match in this competition so far. Horn led 12-7 after seven innings when he started his run of 20 which brought him to 32-7 in 8 innings. Loncelle replied with 11 two innings later. The end of the match came after 11 innings when Loncelle scored a six in the equalizer: 40-28 in 11.
24 year old Adrien Tachoire already showed a top performance in the first half of the match with a win over young home player Nathan Duriez in 14 innings: 40-9. The former junior world champion had a flashy start with 18-1 in 3, including a run of 9. In the eighth inning, Tachoire led 32-5, in the 14th inning he finished with 7 (2,857 average).
In the other two matches, Saint Quentin players took the win. Cédric Melnytschenko bested Pierre Soumagne 40-36 in 25, including a run of 11 for Melnytschenko. Jose-Maria Mas beat Jef Philipoom 40-34 in 21, also an excellent level in the other matches.
The best team average record playing to 50 points belongs to Agipi with 2,174 in 2013 (200 points in 92). Laxou played the 2.113 as a record over 40 points.
