Greek player Nikos Polychronopoulos leads his team of Eekhoorn against Cues&Darts in Tilburg

TILBURG - The final sprint just before winter in the Dutch premier three-cushion league is at stake. This Sunday (17 December) is the penultimate round of the Kozoom league, after that the teams will play one more match on 23 December, followed in the new year on 14 January until the three-week halt will keep the teams out of competition for a while until 4 February. Two rounds conclude the eventful year 2023, Sunday already with a top encounter between Cues&Darts and Team Eekhoorn. That promises to be a downright cracker with two teams turning up at full strength.

Cues&Darts' home team will enter with Glenn Hofman and three foreign cracks: Robinson Morales, Ruben Legazpi and Pierre Soumagne. The opponent, Team Eekhoorn, comes into the ring with Nikos Polychronopoulos and regulars Peter Ceulemans, Frans van Kuyk and Kurt Ceulemans. So, the billiard fans who want to see top billiards on Sunday, the day after the Grand Prix final in Doetinchem, can visit Tilburg's billiard hall.

SIS Schoonmaak is watching that match from their top position (two points ahead), but will not get a walk-over itself. The Schoonmaak team travels without Eddy Merckx to the away match against Dekker with three Dutch and one Belgian opponent. Dave Christiani against Jean van Erp and Barry van Beers against Raimond Burgman, four outspoken routine men, are definitely already matches to look forward to.

The Zundert team, just a little in the shadow of the top teams, is preparing in its own house for the home match against Burgmans Biljarts. There, on centercourt, Spaniard Sergio Jimenez and Belgian Eddy Leppens play against each other. Bousema is preparing for the match with Aartsbouw, also bringing in a strong line-up: Martin Horn, Jeffrey Jorissen, Johan Loncelle and Frans van Schaik. At Aartsbouw, certainly the leading man, Ronny Brants, is in excellent form. Team Nachtwacht plays in The Hague against J&F Auto's, DKM Tools hosts Dallinga.com.

All matches can be seen live on Kozoom, which will also broadcast the final stage of the Grand Prix in Doetinchem on Saturday.

Tenth round, matches, line-ups, Sunday from 1pm.
