Jumbo Masters, the players, the schedule

BERLICUM - The organizers and the team, led by Harry Mathijssen and Henny Wezenbeek, had a few days to convert the arena. Tomorrow, Wednesday, the Jumbo Masters three-cushion will kick off at the Beneluxtheater in Berlicum. The NK pool billiards looks back on a successful event with wonderful winners. For the next five days, the arena is reserved for the top of Dutch three-cushion.

Harry Matthijsen and his loyal right-hand man Henny Wezenbeek in the BEN team were switching without any problems. ’’We’r facing another event, also in terms of entourage and interest,'' Harry Mathijssen assures. ’’The NK pool has a slightly different audience and ambiance. The Jumbo Masters in three-cushion already has a long tradition with full stands and a different atmosphere. But we look back with the NK pool on a very nice event and a successful TV broadcast, which put the tournament in the spotlight on Sunday afternoon.''

The Jumbo Masters will see the 16 best players from tomorrow, Wednesday, with Dick Jaspers as the top favorite. The preliminary rounds are over three days, with the four groups of four players against each other on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Then, finishing this run-up, it goes to the quarter-finals on Saturday in four sessions. On Sunday first are the semi-finals followed by the final.

Group A: Jeffrey Jorissen, Sam van Etten, Frans van Schaik, Raymund Swertz

Group B: Barry van Beers, Jean Paul de Bruijn, Volkan Cetin, Jerry Hermans

Group C: Dave Christiani, Glenn Hofman, Huub Wilkowski, Joey de Kok

Group D: Dick Jaspers, Jean van Erp, Kay de Zwart, Raimond Burgman.

Wednesday 17 January: 

13.00: Group A

15.00: Group B

18.30: Group C

20.30: Group D

Thursday 18 January from 13.00: Group D, Group A, Group B and Group C

Friday 19 January: from 1pm Group C, D, A and B

Knockouts with 8, Saturday at 12.30, 14.30, 16.30 and 18.30

Sunday semi-finals at 10.00 and 12.30.

15.30 finals live on RTL7.
