GRAVELINES - Jérémy Bury was the best by far in the national three-cushion tournament in Gravelines this weekend. The top French player realized 2.087 on average. It was his second tournament win in France this season in two participations. Ghani Refassi was second with an average of 1.134, Cédric Melnytschenko (1.280) and Jérôme Barbeillon (1.215) completed the podium.
In his route to victory, the French number one, Bury, beat Jérôme Salerne 35-17 in 17, Jean Reverchon 35-16 in 13, Maxime Panaia 40-27 in 21, Cédric Melnytschenko 40-18 in 18 and Ghani Refassi in the final 40-10 in 22. It was Bury's 35th win in this kind of event.
Ghani Refassi had a great season and finished 3rd in the standings with 160 points behind Mikael Devogelaere with 186 and Jérémy Bury with 160 points. The Andernos player beat Nathan Duriez in the quarter-finals and Jérôme Barbeillon in the semi-finals.
The following 16 players have qualified for the French final in Saint-Maur in May.
