The winner in the French national event in Fréjus: Jérémy Bu4ry

FRÉJUS - After Gwendal Maréchal and Maxime Panaia, it was Jérémy Bury's turn for a victory in the French national circuit: Bury won and played 1.461 on average at the Fréjus Saint Raphaël billiards academy, where he beat Adrien Tachoire in the final 40-23 in 20 innings, best run 10.

Jérémy Bury got better every match and completed a maximum circuit: he played 1.176 in his two qualifying games against Cédric Vasseur and Stéphane Gallucci and then 1.250 in the main tournament against Fabrice Puigvert and Nathan Duriez. In the direct ko final, Bury won his quarter-final 40-30 in 26 innings vs Jérôme Barbeillon and his semi-final 40-24 in 18 innings vs Ghani Refassi. It was Jérémy Bury's 35th win in a national tournament.

Adrien Tachoire (average 1.173) had a good series with a group elimination in the triangle at the expense of Frédéric Roelants and Patrice Pinard by 1.118 (35-8 in 19 for Tachoire against Pinard, giving him an average score of 1.842), then a victory over Jean Reverchon in the quarter-finals by 40-33 in 33.

In the semi-finals, Tachoire beat Vahit Kunt 40-27 in 32.

Ghani Refassi (0.893) and Vahit Kunt (1.007) completed the podium and grabbed precious points ahead of the French final.

The losers of the quarter-finals were Jérôme Barbeillon (0.869), Jean Reverchon, Alexis Rouaud (1.026) and Cédric Zoppi (0.851). Only five players had an average score higher than 1 in this tournament, the main reason being the absence of five players from France's top six.

Next stops are Gradignan on the weekend of 15 February and Gravelines on the weekend of 22 March.
