HERTEN - The German billiard player and Jens Eggers and GT Buer welcome the three cushion elite players this weekend for the third time to determine the season's best player at the German three-cushions Masters In the week following to the European championships in Brandenburg an der Havel, the German players will gather for the most important national tournament.
Jens Eggers organized the tournament for the first time after two years of preparation in 2013 with Germany's top sixteen players. The organizing team has done a great effort once again.
The entry requirements for the German Masters are as simple as significant. The thirteen season's best players were invited according to the ranking of the first and second bundesliga. Three wild cards are added: Stefan Hetzel (from organizer GT Buer), Orhan Eroğul (sponsor wildcard) and Dieter Grossung (German Masters wildcard).

Marcel Decker from Langendamm is the substitute for Christian Rudolph. The former German champion had to cancel because of an injury.

The four groups are mentioned to great German names from the past: Edgar Bettzieche (Group A), Jürgen Kühl (B), Dieter Müller (C) and Günter Siebert (D).
The tournament is divided in four groups of four who play to 40 points in the qualifications. The winner and the runner up in the group advance to the quarters, there will be played to 50 points.

Two times winner is Martin Horn, who won the first edition with a record average (2.000) ahead of Klaus Bosel, Christian Rudolph en Markus Galla. In 2014, Horn took his second win with 1.824 ahead of Johann Schirmbrand, Stefan Galla en Klaus Bosel.
