LUGANO - The Italian team was victorious at the World championship 5 pins for national teams in Lugano, Switzerland. The Azzurri defeated the Uruguay team in the final 3-0. The two finalists qualified for the battle for gold by victories over Argentina and Germany.
In the final, the Italian Andrea Quarta set the tone by defeating Diego Capote from Uruguay 100-50 and Michelangelo Aniello, who won by a riant score against Alejandro Moran: 100-69.
