Harrie van de Ven answerred to a run of 14 from Sam van Etten and won the match: 40-39

OOSTERHOUT/ZUNDERT - Spaniard Sergio Jimenez and Brabant player Frans van Kuyk provided highlights in the 13th round of the Dutch premier league three-cushion. Jimenez finished a 40-points match in 16 innings for Zundert, while Frans van Kuyk showed top form with a win in 17 innings for Team Eekhoorn. Zundert also saw a superb battle between Sam van Etten and Harrie van de Ven. The young North Holland player excelled with a run of 14, but lost the match by one carom.

That one match in Brabant ultimately was not decisive, because Zundert still grabbed the win 6-2 against Team Nachtwacht. Harrie van de Ven in the match against Sam van Etten took the full points for his team with 40-39 in 27 innings. That was not enough for Team Nachtwacht, because Sergio Jimenez won in a very quick and strong match against Ismail Yasin 40-25 in 16 (highest run 8), Thorsten Frings triumphed against Erwin Kivits with a best run of 13 by 40-28 in 28 and Francis Forton also scored the maximum against Frank Martens with 40-34 in 36.

SIS Schoonmaak remains leader after the 13th day of play with 19 points, Team Eekhoorn and Cues&Darts follow on one point. SIS won the match against DKM Tools 6-2 showing victories by Jean van Erp, Raymund Swertz and Martien van der Spoel against Ronny Lindemann, Roland Uijtdewillegen and Jack Wijnen in 27, 39 and 34 innings. For SIS, only Raimond Burgman, who didn’t have his best day, was beaten by Wesley de Jaeger in 32 innings (40-24).

Team Eekhoorn won the home match against Bousema 6-2 despite a remarkable game between Peter Ceulemans and Johan Loncelle. The Belgian from Eekhoorn only scored 14 points, Loncelle won 40-14 in 22. Nikos Polychronopoulos and Jeffrey Jorissen played a match dominated by the Greek, winning 40-27 in 21. Frans van Kuyk was the best man of the matchday at the venue: he was victorious against Stefan Galla 40-20 in 17.

Cues&Darts just could take a minimal win against Dallinga, the team that was weakened by the absence of Jean Paul de Bruijn, but put up excellent resistance. Glenn Hofman gave the first impetus for the win by beating Steven van Acker 40-29 in 27, but substitute Jean Paul de Kraker played an excellent match against junior world number one Burak Hashas. Dallinga's Zeeuw player even led 37-33, had a good chance to finish but missed. The Turkish youngster was brilliant in the final of the match, finishing with 7. For Dallinga, Peter De Backer, a feared opponent for many top players, put up a draw with Ruben Legazpi 40-40 in 23. Berry Dallinga beat Jack van Peer 40-29 in 37.

The 'city derby’ between Dekker/AP and Aartsbouw ended in a 6-2 win for Dekker's favorite team. Dave Christiani was the top winner with 40-28 in 22 against Ronny Brants. Gerwin Valentijn and Barry van Beers also won, Henk Blauwblomme was one point short against Ad Broeders in 27 innings.

Burgmans Biljarts was just the better of J&F Auto's 6-2 through wins by Anno de Kleine, Bart Ceulemans and Marco Janssen against Kay de Zwart, Joey de Kok and Therese Klompenhouwer. Only Herman van Daalen secured a win for the Hague side by beating Johan Roijers.
