Haeng Jik Kim invited for tournament in Zundert

ZUNDERT - The Korean junior world champion Haeng Jik Kim has been invited to the Christmas tournament in Zundert. He is one of the sixteen players in the traditional old year's tournament, in a field with eight Belgians and seven Dutch players.

The organization of the Christmas tournament invited in the previous years well-known players Semi Sayginer, Torbjorn Blomdahl and other world top players. This year the three times junior world champion, the 19-year-old Haeng Jik Kim, is the guest player between the Dutch and Belgian participants. The Korean prolongated his worldtitle four weeks ago in Guatemala.

The Christamas tournament will be held from 27 to 30 December with four groups of four, in which two players will be seeded for the knock out tournament with eight. The draw for the groups is expected soon.

The participants are:
Belgium: Frédéric Caudron, Eddy Merckx, Peter de Backer, Eddy Leppens, Roland Forthomme, Peter Ceulemans, Eddy Leppens, Jef Philipoom and Martin Spoormans.
The Netherlands: Raimond Burgman, Barry van Beers, Jean van Erp, Gerwin Valentijn, Harry van de Ven, Glenn Hofman, Jeffrey van Nijnatten.
South Korea: Haeng Jik Kim.
