FRANCONVILLE - The young, talented Gwendal Marechal was the winner of the French three cushion championship in the N1 class, the league under the Masters, in Franconville. In the final he defeated Kévin Perrotin 35-29 in 31 innings.
The Breton winner remained unbeaten in five matches. He defeated Kévin Perrotin 35-33 in 42 innings, Anthony Chevreau 35-25 in 27 and Jean-Luc Miller 35-15 in 29 in the group stage. In the semi-final Maréchal was the better of Thierry de Marchi 35-22 in 32 innings.
Maréchal (18) finished with the best average, 1.073, and the highest run of eight. Kévin Perrotin was second with two defeats in five matches, both in the group and in the final against Maréchal.
The podium was completed by Jérôme Riotto with 0.913 and Thierry de Marchi with 0.976.
