ANDERNOS - The Belgian teams and the Bundesliga three-cushion have already honoured the champions last week. BC Elversberg and Biljart Express are the champions. In the French and Dutch team competitions, the season is drawing to a close with the final rounds in sight. The French close the regular competition this week (Thursday and Friday) with attractive posters on the playing calendar. In the Netherlands, the four teams that will battle in the play-offs for the championship will be known next week. So this week, all eyes are on the top French teams with many French and international players in the arenas.
Three matches are played on Thursday 1 May, followed by the last of the sixth and final round of games on Friday 2 May. After that, the four teams to play in the Final Four will be known.
In Group A, the placement is already known and the match Intermarché against Douarnenez Prevalrisk is the match that will decide which team will finish at the bottom. That match is on Friday from 4pm and live. Players in those schedule include Nick Polychronopoulos and Francis Connesson for Intermarché and Steven van Acker and Grégory Le Deventec for Douarnenez.
The other match in this group is not important for the standings as Soissons and Saint-Quentin are in 1st and 2nd place respectively. Are thus already qualified for the finals. The match will be played on Thursday 1 May from 16:00, including the games Jérémy Bury-Dick Jaspers and Eddy Merckx-Johan Loncelle.
In Group B, the stakes are higher! Blois Doozy and Andernos hold the top positions with 7 and 6 points respectively, Albert is 3rd with 5 points and Colmar is assured of last place with 2 points. So it is a three-way battle for the two places in the Final Four. On Thursday, Blois Doozy travels to Andernos, the matches start at 4pm and can be followed live. Viewers will be able to witness some great matches such as Marco Zanetti-Sameh Sidhom, Roland Forthomme-Tolgahan Kiraz and Gwendal Maréchal-Adrien Tachoire. In case of a draw, Blois Doozy qualifies, but Andernos does not if Albert wins 8-0 against Colmar, which fields its two Spanish players Ruben Legazpi and Sergio Jimenez! In short, total uncertainty about the outcome of this group. Albert also travels to Colmar on Thursday.
