LAS VEGAS - Famous trick shot player Florian Kohler, nicknamed Venom, is running now his attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the 'most billiard trick shots made in 24 hours'. The billiards champion makes his attempt this weekend from his home in Las Vegas. Kohler, who already owns five Guinness World Records, started his record attempt as a way to thank his fans and followers worldwide. The French born player, 31 years of age, surpassed one million subscribers on his YouTube channel on April 13, 2020. ''Without my fans and the viewers, none of my trickshot success would be possible. So, I wanted to try and give something back to them as a thank to you, and also as a way to help entertain them during this difficult time with so many of us are under stay-at-home orders," said Kohler.

Florian's attempt is running now and around midnight (Vegas time) he completed around 300 shots, a success rate of 73,33%. He welcomed viewers from Europe, waking up, at that time, from Vietnam, South Africa and all around the world. ''Don't worry guys, I play my best shots in the night'', the pool trick shot champion commented.
The American Poolplayers Association (APA) will also team up with Kohler to provide regular live ''look-in" interviews throughout the attempt that will be available on the APA Facebook page. The world record attempt will comply with all ''stay-at-home orders" related to Covid-19, and the production and commentary will only include those already residing in Kohler's home. Kohler will have three attempts to perform each trick shot with every one of those being part of the approved WPA Artistic Pool program. Once the 120 shots of that program have been attempted, he will simply start over and repeat the process until 24 hours have passed.
