The organizers took the decision to play non-stop and without audience on the final day

DOUARNENEZ - The final day at the Coupe d'Europe for classic teams in Douarnenez will be played today, Sunday, without audience behind closed doors. The decision was taken on Saturday evening in a meeting with the local chairman, the representative of the European billiard federation CEB and in consultation with the mayor of Douarnenez. The live images of the semifinals and finals will be broadcast live by Kozoom.

The reigning champion, Douarnenez and BC Soissons, two French teams, started the first semi-final at 9.30 Western Europe time. The match will be followed directly by the Spanish team CB Vic playing against French team BC Oissel without a break. Then, without a stop, the winners meet up in the final match. The measures were taken due to recent developments related to the Corona, COVID-19 virus.

The teams of BC Bochum and BC Hilden have been eliminated in the preliminaries.

The news to play without audience on the final day was announced this morning by Jean-Paul Boudoix, representative of the CEB, after consultation with the chairman, the sports director of the organizing club Douarnenez. To keep the duration of the final day as short as possible, the matches are played non-stop and the closing ceremony is held behind closed doors.
