LAUSANNE - The European billiards federation CEB has launched plans at a board meeting in the Olympic capital Lausanne about a new European tour with events in three-cushion. Details are yet to be announced. At the meeting, Eva Viding Bussell said goodbye as member in charge for women and youth. She will be replaced by Greek Nick Tremoulis. Bernard Boulette was appointed honorary member of the CEB.
CEB president Diane Wild and the CEB board were re-elected for the 2025-2029 term. Nikolaos Tremoulis (proposed by the Greek federation) was elected as new board member and Youth Director. He is the first CEB board member from Greece. Eva Viding Bussell, former board member, was not a candidate for personal reasons. The CEB board thanked her for the valuable work she has done in recent years as the person responsible for Youth and Ladies. The CEB board will now prioritise responsibility for Ladies.
During the meeting, national federations fully supported the main strategies and orientations announced by the board:
- Maintaining the priority for youth and women
- Increase support to European championship organisers
- Create a European CEB three-cushion tour
- Promote the discipline of 5 Pins
- Support and help the federations with initiatives and specific projects
- Improve the general level of referees
- Create parasport competitions.
At the request of the Turkish billiards federation, the date of the 2026 European All-In-One Championships in Antalya, Turkey, will be brought forward by two weeks. The new date is from 7 to 15 March.
