BRANDENBURG AN DER HAVEL - The four semi-finalists at the European Championships in the discipline one cushion have started off the fifth day of the tournament at 9.00. The Belgian Frédéric Caudron plays against Frenchman Bernard Villiers and the Austrian Arnim Kahofer against Frenchman Nicolas Gerassimopoulos. The final in this game is at 17.00 in the afternoon.
The juniors under 21 play the semi-finals free game at the match tabel at the same time (9.00 pm). It is a clash between Holland and the Czech Republic. The matches: Sam van Etten-Adam Kozak and Ferry Jong-Ondrei Hosek.
The last highlights late last night were seen at the tables where the 47/2 balkline started the preliminaries. The Frenchman Willy Gerimont played an excellent match in one inning against the Spaniard Raul Cuenca (200-0). Eddy Leppens defeated Frenchman Patrick Dupont in two innings 200-2.
