The 12th round for the Dutch three-cushion league is spread over three match days. Two matches were already played in advance last week. Three matches are scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday 12 January, and the last will be played on Sunday 18 January. The top match is that between Cues&Darts and Babbelz, in which the numbers 1 and 2 meet in strong line-ups. Torbjörn Blomdahl against Frédéric Caudron is the poster to look forward to. The team on top has long been uncertain whether Caudron would play, but the Belgian, who is not competing in the Belgian championships this weekend, is in the game for sue.
Babbelz's lead over Cues&Darts, Team Eekhoorn and STZ Zundert is five points and is not in danger yet. Zundert has already played its match ahead against Aartsbouw, winning 6-2 in the away match. Only Merckx managed to win against Sergio Jimenez 40-38 in 22, while Sam van Etten, Thorsten Frings and Francis Forton won for Zundert in 25, 29 and 37 innings. The other match played was won by Bousema/JBS against J&F Auto's 6-2 with Martin Horn the best winner against an also excellent Murat Gökmen with 40-38 in 27.
Team Eekhoorn will play at home on Sunday against Paperclip which includes Nikos Polychronopoulos-Dick Jaspers as crowd-pleasers.
