Decisive matches for places in the final rounds

The two Korean Lee's, Shin Young and Mi Rae, are already in the final rounds

HALLE-ZOERSEL - The sixteen players at the World championship three cushion for ladies battle it out this afternoon, Saturday as of 1 pm, for the remaining places in the final round of the tournament. Four players are still undefeated and definitely among the best eight. The other four come from the decisive matches in the groups.

The Danish Marianne Mortensen and the Dutch Karina Jetten play for the second place in Group A. The best chances are for Mortensen, who plays against Mirjam Pruim. Karina Jetten plays the Dutch classic against Therese Klompenhouwer. Mirjam Pruium is not definitely eliminated, but has to win her last match with a much better average than her opponent.

Gülsen Degener is waiting the match against Soledad Gomez in Group B. The winner will surely move up to the next round. In case of a draw, the Turkish is the better of the two. Shin Young Lee still plays against Hambalkova, who is already out.

The young Korean Mi-Rae Lee has already secured of a place in the quarterfinals. Danielle le Bruyn starts the engines for the match with Johanna Sandoval, who is without points after two rounds. For the second plays, Le Bruyn and Hayashi are the main contenders.
