CORUNA - The 83rd edition of the individual Spanish championship in three cushion comes to its climax in La Coruña this weekend. Dani Sánchez, 18 fold Spanish champion, five wins in a row now, is the title defender. The tournament started with 117 participants last week. The final phase started with a strong performance by Javier Palazón, who bested Carlos Crespo in the eighth finals 40-9 in 13 innings.

The tournament will be broadcast for free on Kozoom for free.

This week, 100 players started the battle for a place in the final rounds. Of these, sixteen remained this Saturday. The semi-finals and final are on Sunday at 10.00 and 12.00.

The Spanish ranking, led by Dani Sánchez, consisted before this tournament of Javier Palazón, David Martínez, David Zapata, Antonio Montes, Ricardo Garcia, Ruben Legazpi, Jaime Sanchez Faraco, Alfonso Legazpi, José Maria Mas, José Jiménez, Armando Moreno , Joan Bouterín, Enrique Peñalva, Carlos Crespo and Raúl Cuenca.

Dani Sánchez already survived the sixteenth finals with a victory over Jose Antonio Carrasco: 40-23 in 20. In the eighth finals there were victories for Armando Moreno, Javier Palazón, Juan Zapata (12 run) and Jesus Jimenez in 35, 13, 19 and 27 innings. In the second session Dani Sánchez beat Antonio Fernandez Munoz (40-17 in 22), Antonio Montes was the better of Esteve Mata 40-16 in 26 en David Martinez defeated Raul Cuenca 40-12 in 19.
