The new Korean champion, Jung-Han Heo, ready for WC in Seoul

SEOCHEON - The new Korean champion Jung-Han Heo showed his excellent form two weeks before the World championship. He triumphed in the last national tournament, the Seocheon Hansan Mosi, with a win in the final against Jae Ho Cho: 40-33 in 25 innings.

The final winner finished 1.591 average and showed again that he is the outstanding champion in Korea this year. Jung-Han Heo ended up on top ahead of Jae Ho Cho, Chi-Yeon Cho, Choong-Bok Lee and Hyung-Gon Kim. Heo is rewarded by thirty ranking points for the world rankings.

The Hansan Mosi Seocheon tournament goes into history with HaengJik Kim's world class match. The young Korean played 35 points in five innings, 7.000 average. Two of the top players, Kyung-Roul Kim and Sung Won Choi (this week in Lausanne Billard Masters) were eliminated in an early stage.

Jung-Han Heo, Jae Ho Cho, Choong-Bok Lee, Ra Hee Kim, Sueng-Young Kang, Jung-Ik Lee, Hyung-Gon Kim and Hyun Min See played the quarterfinals. Jung-Han Heo defeated Choong-Bok Lee in the semis 40-33 in 22 innings. Jae Ho Cho entered the final by a win over Chi-Yeon Cho: 40-33 25.

The Korean top guns are now preparing for the World championship in their own country (Seoul, Jamsil stadium). The playing room is part of the Olympic Stadium, which was built in 1988 for the Olympic Games in Seoul.

Jung-Han Heo dethroned with his title Kyung-Roul Kim, who was champion in 2013.

For the World championship (26-30 November) were automatically seeded: Sung Won Choi, Kyung-Roul Kim, Dong Koong Kang, Jae Ho Cho and Choong-Bok Lee. Chi-Yeon Cho received a wildcard from the Asian confederation, Jung-Han Heo and Hyun Min Seo from the organization.
